The system of electric energy selling using
RFID SMART cards
System Components
|
 |
1.1. RFID transceiver module
The transceiver is designed as a plug-in module on a chip of NXP company production and provides non-contact data transmission between the SMART card and electricity meters (Mercury 203.2T and 233ART).
|
| |
 |
1.2. 1-phase meters Mercury 203.2Т SMART
Multi-rate and multifunctional meters with a built-in relay (for power management). When you reach a zero balance of payment for the electricity the electricity switches off or the power consumption limitation occurs (limitation of the power and energy is available). The limitation values can be set by a SMART card or via optical port of a meter. The recovery after the shutdown is possible by simultaneously pressing of two buttons of the meter for at least 3sec. The meter restarts the supply of electricity either at a positive balance of kW*h or when the subscriber reduces the power to the permissible values (for example 2.2 kW).

1.3 3-phase meters Mercury 233ART SMART
The transceiver is designed as a plug-in module on a chip of NXP company production and provides non-contact data transmission between the SMART card and electricity meters (Mercury 203.2T and 233ART).

1.4. SMART cards reader
The reader is designed for reading (recording) of information from the payment acceptance outlets to the cards. It is connected to a cash register (Mercury 130F) or a PC. It allows you to record (read) to (from) a CARD the paid kW*h, as well as other service information such as energy consumption at the beginning of a current month.

 |
1.5. Cash register "Mercury 130F"
Cash Register (ECR) with built-in GSM modem and a connected reader is designed to organize electricity payment acceptance.
Main features :
- Entry of payment (service info) to the CARD
- Implementation of the fiscal functions
- Control check issuing
- Receiving of a digital signature for each operation from the server
- Transfer of service data to the server
|
| |
 |
1.6. Server
The server is installed in a power supplying organization. The server ensures all operations in conjunction with the ECR. It is impossible to perform an operation of balance replenishment on the card without participation of the server. The server provides a digital signature for every cash transaction of ECR and keeps the following information in its database:
- The operation date and time
- The ECR No.
- The meter No.
- The number of electricity sold. The power supplying organizations can receive all the necessary reports for the required time periods regarding the sales of electricity from the server.

1.7. SMART ( RFID) card
The CARDS of NXP production are used in the system (MIFARE technology). These CARDS have a built-in protection system (similar to the protection of a credit card). Similar CARDS are used in Moscow transport and social services. There is the possibility of combining several functions in one CARD in order to pay for electricity and other services (such as subway, gas, etc.) In order to increase the level of protection from unauthorized access, in addition to the built-in protection, an asymmetric RSA encryption is used. The server generates a digital signature through a secure PFC GSM channel when it is accessed by an ECR, the cash register is also being checked for admission to the execution of payment transactions in the system.
