Multi-functional electricity meters is designed to measure active and reactive electrical energy and power in Single or two directions in three-phase, 3 or 4-wire AC networks. They can measure directly or via measuring transformers; they provide tariff-based time-of-day metering. Meters can store the accumulated information for a long time and transmit it to data collection centers via digital wired and wireless interface channels..


  • Energy Measurement
    The meter performs measuring and accounting of active and reactive energy for forward or reverse direction with accuracy class of 0,2S; 0,5S; 1,0; 2,0 for single- or multi-tariff modes. It is possible tarifficated measuring of reactive energy in each quadrant.

  • Phase energy accounting
    The additional function allows defining active energy consumption of forward direction for each phase of the network. Phase accounting is carried out by tariff, as surely as the main power accounting is performed by sum of phases.

  • Measuring in modulus
    Regardless of connection method for input circuit current, unidirectional meter always keeps track of active energy with increment of power by the formula main=I1I+I2I+I3I, i.e. without accounting of current direction. This function allows preventing theft of electricity by violations for phasing connection of meters current circuits.

  • Energy losses accounting
    In addition to the commercial accounting of consumed electricity, counter can keep track of the losses in the power transformer and power lines. The passport data of power transformers and transmission lines or loss parameters measured empirically are used as the initial information to calculate the losses.

  • Mains Parameter Measurement
  • The meter measures, displays on its LCD and transfers by its interfaces the instantaneous values of the mains parameters, such as the current, voltage, frequency and other parameters.

  • Measuring of average power
    The meter forms 2 cyclic archives of average power with independent power averaging times. Average intervals are programmed in 160 minutes range. At 30-minute averaging interval, duration of storage before rewriting will be 170 days. Each archive has up to 8 channels for forming profiles of active and reactive power..  

  • Fixing of maximum power
  • Meter determines the maximum value of the power load reached in this month according to the data for main archive of average power. The maximum values are fixed either with two day intervals and called the morning and evening maximums power, or in each tariff zone and called the tariff maximums. The schedule of the day intervals of tracking maximums should be previously written to the meter by using specialized software. The archive of maximum power may contain data for the current and previous 11 months .

  • Archives of daily and monthly slices
  • The meter informs archives of values for accounting active and reactive energy which fixed at the beginning of the set of previous days or months. The depth of storage for daily slices is 120 days. The depth of storage for monthly slices is 36 months.

  • Event logs
  • During operation, the meter keeps several logs, which fixed date and time when occurring different events related to operation of the meter in normal mode or in various attempts to gain unauthorized access to the meter. The logs are also fixed various abnormal situations, for example, no voltage when presence current, current losses, occurrence of reverse current, etc.

  • Quality control of the electrical network with fixing of abnormal situations (UPQI log)
  • For consumers, critical to the quality of the electricity, the meter generates the log of unified power quality index (UPQI) that records the date and time when the phase voltage and the frequency is out of the limits for normal and maximum permissible values. Dips and overvoltage are also fixed

  • Load control of the consumer
  • The meter has function of consumer limiting for electricity because of exceeding of power operating values or energy limit. The embedded power relay in specified modification or external connector controlling by the meter can act as actuating mechanism. There are two operating algorithms manual and automatic. In the first case the trip command of the consumer enters the meter from the top level software. In the second case, the meter monitors exceeding the specified limits itself and gives out the command on internal or external device of load disconnection

  • Consumer Load Control
  • The function of electric power limitation for a consumer is implemented in the meter using built-in power-cut relay. Two operation algorithms are implemented, manual and automatic. In the first case the command to turn off the consumer is input into the meter by the upper level software. In the second case the meter itself tracks exceeding of the set limits and gives a command for an internal or external power-cut device.
  • Remote data transfer
  • Thanks to the wide range of digital interfaces, the meter Incotex 233 supports many data transmission technologies both wired and wireless communication channels, including the transfer of data over the electrical network of 230V. Each meter of the series is equipped by the optoport and RS-485 network interface

  • Using of European data transfer protocols
  • In order to standardize the exchange of information between client applications and the electricity meter, the leading European manufacturers are widely used the data transfer protocols based on DLMS/COSEM specifications and IEC 62056-21 standard. The meter Incotex 233 also supports these protocols

  • GSM gateway function
  • The meter equipped by GSM/GPRS modem module can be used as GSM-gateway for access to other meters or devices attached to it via RS485 interface

  • Consumed active and reactive energy for each tariff and total for all tariffs on the accumulation basis with the hundredths’ accuracy, kW*h and kVar*h;
  • The same for: current and previous day, current and 11 previous months, current and previous year;
  • Phase voltage and amperage in each phase;
  • Measured value of active,reactive and apparent power (integration – 1 sec) both for each phase and total for three phases with indication of the apparent power vector
  • Morning and evening peak values of active & reactive power in the current and three previous months;
  • Power factor for each phase and total for three phases;

  • Network frequency;
  • THD;
  • Current time and date;
  • Temperature inside the meter;
  • Date and time when the top and terminal covers are unsealed, last reprogramming;
  • Failure code.
